Indigenous Land Acknowledgement
OUT LOUD is dedicated to developing an expansive and ongoing relationship to Indigenous Land and the process of creating and sharing Indigenous Land Acknowledgements with our ensemble and community. With each process, OUT LOUD will begin by engaging with gathered resources and questions - working together as a collective to establish language that is unique to each group who is gathered. An example of this process was born through the collaborative work guided by Ronald Kevin Lewis and Daria Lyric-Montaquila through the Original & Devised production of Unity Poem: Past, Present, Future, written and performed by the 2021 CCRI Players Ensemble in collaboration with Founding Artistic Director, Kira Hawkridge.

Ongoing Questions:
What is our relationship to this Indigenous knowledge?
What treaties were broken in order for us to live where we live?
