“In the wake of their devastating defeat, the women of Troy, all now widows, wait on the beach below the ravaged city to be claimed by their Greek conquerors. Though the war is over, exile and degradation lie ahead and the fates of these women, including Queen Hecuba, her daughter Cassandra, the doomed, mad prophetess, and her daughter-in-law Andromache, widow of the great Hector, are still in the balance.”

All Roles are open to all ages, gender identities, races, ethnicities, body types, abilities, and levels of experience.
Cisgender, Transgender, and NB actors/performers are encouraged to audition for whichever roles/ensemble track(s) they feel comfortable with being considered for.
The Roles of HECUBA, HELEN, CASSANDRA, THE SOLIDER, & POSEIDON may be cast with up to 3 Performance Ensemble Members Per Role.
Rehearsals will begin in February 2025

WHAT TO PREPARE
Please be prepared to utilize a 10 minute time slot to present a 1-2 minute monologue of your choosing and to have a brief discussion with the Creative Team. This might include discussing how your creative journey has brought you to OUT LOUD and/or why you are interested in collaborating on The Trojan Women.
COLLABORATIVE CALLBACK | Sunday January 19th | 12pm-4pm
Based on our time spent in space through our Open Audition process, invitations to our Collaborative Callback Session will be offered and communicated by 11pm on Saturday January 18th through email. If you are invited to participate, please be prepared to attend the whole Collaborative Callback Session from 12pm-4pm on Sunday January 19th. We will be engaging with movement based ensemble building exercises & collaborative readings from the script. Thank you in advance for wearing clothing you feel comfortable moving in. We look forward to collaborating with you!

Please fill out our AUDITION SIGN UP SHEET with your name, email, desired participation date, and availability between 6pm-10pm (Friday) and/or 12pm-4pm (Saturday), along with noting any/all access needs.

ACCESSIBILITY
An accessibility ramp is located in the front of the building, providing access to the front door marked "ENTRANCE". In addition, members of our collaborative team will be welcoming individuals at the front door, facilitating elevator access to and from the third floor, and/or providing directions to the two staircase options provided, for all participants throughout the Open Workshop Audition & Collaborative Callback Process.
